In order to protect our student's identities our student listings have limited information. Families interested in hosting a student should use the Susquehanna Chapter Membership Directory Page to contact AFS Susquehanna Valley.

New students for our area team will be added each week. Any questions, contact Donna Ridinger or your local AFS volunteer.

LUCAS - GERMANY
Lucas' hobbies include skiing, tennis and, above all, flight simulation. His favorite subjects are English, math and sports. He hopes to finish school with good grades and become a pilot. His teacher describes him as reliable, independent and popular among his classmates. Luca has gone abroad and lived in host families for short periods of time. He's looking forward to coming to the US and learning about American culture. In addition to English, Lucas has also studied some Spanish. He lives with his parents and his dog Lena.

PAISIT - THAILAND
Paisit has a 13 year old younger brother and an 8 year old sister. He has studied in a bilingual program for 10 years. He plays basketball at his school and has been playing since the 6th grade. Paisit also enjoys music and plays the drums and saxophone. In the past he has traveled to New Zealand, Australia, Canada and England. In the future Paisit would like to become an engineer. Previously had a milk allergy.

NAPAT - THAILAND
Napat, nicknamed Patt, enjoys sports such as basketball, swimming, badminton and running. She's even been a part of the track and field team for 6 years. Patt also enjoys painting and was part of the journalism club at school. Her teacher says she's very motivated and always does her best. She loves her parents and her brother and enjoys cooking with her mother. Patt would like to become a baby doctor when she's older. She' really looking forward to meeting her host family and having a great AFS experience.

BERGLIND - ICELAND
Independent and straight-forward, goal-oriented, diligent student; has two sisters and one brother, live outside of capitol in suburbs; on handball team at school, goes to gym 2-3 times a week; interested in music, fashion and traveling; out-going, close with family.

MUNISKHON – UZBEKISTAN – FLEX
Muniskhon lives with her
family and extended family, 11 people total. Everyone helps one another
and takes care of each other. She is good-natured and easy-going; lives in a
small town where everyone is friendly and humble. She is a good student and
has many friends at school. Muniskhon likes to organize school activities,
practice the piano, dance and she used to do Tae Kwon Do.
She only wants dogs, cats, and birds for pets.
Muniskhon does not eat pork due to her religion.

MARCEL - GERMANY
Marcel is a creative,
energetic and helpful teenager from small town in Germany. He likes to paint
and play keyboard. He likes computer programming. Marcel is a hurdler, long
jumper and high jumper on a track team. He would like to continue that in the
states. He would like to be a detective for the German equivalent of the FBI or
an architect when he grows up.
